ABOUT US

The Glade Tea Rooms Ltd is an exciting location to relax and enjoy homemade locally-sourced food in the heart of Wentwood Forest. We opened in August 2019. It is family-friendly giving children the opportunity to freely play enjoying all that the woodland offers as well as offering activity packs and forest school activities. Wentwood is one of the Queen’s Canopies acknoweldging the immense history and beauty of the woodland. It is a hive of outdoor activities including walking, horse riding, cycling, dog-walking, family-fun, history groups and running to name but a few, all of whom we welcome for a filling lunch, sustaining breakfast or just a cuppa and cake while some tasty treats are also on offer for our canine friends!

Henry has spent the last 18 years gaining a wealth of experience, working within hospitality from the bottom up being a pot washer aged 16 to managing high end bars in his mid 20s and then gaining experience in event management. The opportunity to combine his love of the outdoors with his skillset in hospitality and business was ideal in creating this tearooms. He is keen to work closely with our fellow local residents to produce a peaceful and sustainable tearooms and hub in the heart of Wentwood Forest.

The Glade Tea Rooms is committed to treating our environment in the most positive way and giving back to the local community. The tearooms will have a green recycling principle at its heart. For the business to thrive, the environment in which it is situated must also thrive by being cared for and nurtured.

It is an appealing location for events and we are keen to have enquiries - we have lpreviously hosted the Wentwood Weasel 10k Cross Country Run, organised by Chepstow Harriers as well as children's birthday parties in collaboration with our Forest School Teacher, and business lunches. We are looking into establishing a regular pizaa and music event on Sundays.

We display and sell artwork of the forest by local artists including work by Martin Briggs and Tara Madge.
